The new series of Bliss study days for 2010 will aim to provide guidance for delivering family-centred care on neonatal units. The days will offer insights, information and guidance to help deliver effective support to parents throughout their journey on the neonatal unit. Speakers from a range of disciplines will discuss the importance of working in partnership with parents and offer practical approaches to making this a reality. The day will include information on:
- Cultural support aspects of family-centred care
- Breastfeeding support for mothers on neonatal units
- Kangaroo Care and other interventions to promote parent infant interactions
- Multi-disciplinary approach to discharge planning
